note = "This paper is determined to show how populism, as a strategic and socio-cultural approach can be connected to the rise of innovative social entrepreneurship. Although there are many negative uses of the concept of populism nowadays, its ideology represents, in great generalization, breaking up with conventions and new style of leadership that is more closely connected to the wants and needs of the “the people”, giving a sense of empowerment to those groups that have felt neglected by the institutions for both turning the organizations into living beings to nurture and develop, with everyone valued, empowered and engaged as well as for employing the leadership capacities of coaching, facilitating and holding the space to ensure self-organization and local-attunement. The paper uses the case study method to theoretically compare these two concepts (the one of social entrepreneurship as the one of populism), where the reality of the application of populism in society and business will differ. ; New Populism and Responses of the 21st Century ; Conference date: 24-09-2021 Through 25-09-2021",
