Abstract

The interest in city logistics has grown over the years and with that the number of researchers and publications. In this chapter we review all city logistics conference contributions from the first four international conferences using a framework to structure and evaluate the city logistics field. We find eleven city logistics research areas, which vary from initiatives to improve transport flows, initiatives that improve the means, policy-related initiatives, to research oriented contributions. This chapter demonstrates interesting lessons for researchers in the field of city logistics. © 2008 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
