Project Details
Description
Koole Terminals is a storage and transhipment company for oils, chemicals and fats. Oils, chemicals and fats are hazardous substances to work with. In addition, employees must be prepared to work with hydrogen instead of oil – hydrogen being more dangerous than oil. How to train in this dangerous context? A solution is training using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (VR and AR) and digital humans created through Volumetric Capturing. VR provides presence, real experiences, which offers training more realism, experience (pressure) and interactive possibilities compared to traditional training. Augmented Reality matters when interaction with the real world is a priority. Virtual Reality has priority when the real world does not (yet) exist, or needs adjustments and interactions. Volumetric Captured humans makes it possible to create the employee as the hero and tell the (why behind) stories to engage and make aware the importance of (repeated) training. We, together with DutchRose Media, will create and test the VR VR VOLCAP training.
