Traffic forecast for Texel ferry operator TESO until 2050. Based on data collection and analysis around trends in tourism, leisure, society, economy, transport and traffic. Stakeholder workshop to define scenario's. Development of likely scenario's into traffic forecast
Societal issue
Wadden island ferries are lifelines for residents and essential for tourism and leisure on these islands, being key economic sectors. An outdated or lack of traffic forecast can hamper ferry management in taking appropriate decisions for upholding this lifeline
Benefit to society
A solid traffic forecast helps ensuring the appropriate, continued existence of this island lifeline
