Tuki Clavero is a Senior Researcher and Research Coordinator at the Academy of AI, Games, and Media (AGM) at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). With a solid game design and project management background, Tuki specialises in coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to explore the intersection of creative video games, AI-driven research processes, XR technologies, and human-computer interaction (HCI).
Tuki's academic foundation includes training in Game Design at ITU Copenhagen and Game Architecture and Design at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Tuki has co-led the design of the IGF finalist game ATUM and has contributed to various projects, from educational games to gameful designs aimed at enhancing 'quality of life' and the design of psychological horror games in Virtual Reality (VR).
At BUas, Tuki also contributes to the Masters in Game Technology programme, where she integrates AI into research practices, preparing students to leverage these tools effectively in their projects. As a core member of the AI Pioneers Team, she provides expert guidance on emerging AI advancements, ensuring that institutional strategies remain both current and future-oriented.
As research coordinator, Tuki facilitates Research & Development activities within the Creative and Entertainment Games professorship, exploring how AI, games, and media technologies can drive meaningful cultural and creative outcomes. She also supports several EU-funded research initiatives, contributing to the securing of funding from major programs such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe, and Horizon Europe. Her ability to build productive relationships with industry stakeholders and international partners strengthens cross-sector innovation and collaboration in the creative and digital industries.
Beyond her professional roles, Tuki is passionate about exploring psychological horror games in VR, where she analyses game design intricacies and player experiences. She's also an avid monster hunter—obsessively battling creatures in the Monster Hunter game series.
