Research interests
Simone is working as Lecturer and Researcher at the Academy for Tourism.
After a Master in Business & Economics and 7 years of experience in business management & development, Simone completed an additional Master Degree in Tourism Destination Management at NHTV (now Breda University of Applied Sciences), followed by work experiences in the tourism industry in Thailand and Belgium. In 2018 he started working as Lecturer and researcher in Tourism.
Simone co-authored the Report ‘Overtourism: impact and possible policy responses’, written for the European Parliament TRAN Committee and he is participating in other EU-funded projects, such as SmartCulTour (Smart Cultural Tourism as a Driver of Sustainable Development of European Regions).
