Research interests
Shima Rezaei Rashnoodi is an architect and multidisciplinary researcher experienced especially in qualitative research, participatory design/research, and research by design methods. Her particular areas of interest are 1) Spatial perceptions: participatory design/research practices, socially engaged architecture, meaning and the making of home, home in displacement, refugee/migrant spaces, home in diaspora. 2) VR/XR and Volumetric Capturing production: Spatial experiences in VR/XR, Architecture/interior design through VR, storytelling, diversity, and inclusion in VR/XR experiences, VR development for raising awareness, identity/gender representations in VR and in volumetric capturing productions.
