Oscar Bastiaens (1990) is a senior lecturer and researcher in the fields of ethics, artificial intelligence (AI), media, semiotics, and general philosophy. He has a particular interest in the ethics of AI and media and works on philosophical research and examinations in these particular topics. Graduated with a Master's in Media Innovation in 2013, Oscar finished his Master's in Philosophy in 2024 at the University of Antwerp during which he has written various papers exploring the intersection of the philosophy of technology, ethics, phenomenology, and metaphysics.
