Oscar Bastiaens (1990) is a researcher and lecturer in the fields of multi-narrative design (transmedia), semiotics, and virtual reality. Graduated in 2013 from the Master in Media Innovation, Oscar is now in the process of obtaining funding for his PhD research on multi-narrative design, as a part of the professorship on Contextual Connected Media of Prof. Marnix van Gisbergen. Besides his research, Oscar co-runs The Creative Lab (www.creativelabbreda.nl), an extra-curricular platform for students, staff and industry to meet, inspire and collaborate on innovative projects in the media and gaming field, like virtual reality and 360® video.
