      Research interests

      Maarten van Rijn (MEd, MSc) is senior project manager and researcher at Breda University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. His field of expertise is process & capacity management in all kind of different – business and public- situations.

      He used to be lecturer in logistics and quality management and during the last fifteen years he developed ‘event logistics’ as an addition to the logistic curriculum in the Netherlands. In 2015 he published, together with his colleague Dick van Damme, the English version of “Event Logistics; the realisation of event concepts in safe and service orientated environments”. Event logistics fits in the research topic “People and goods on the move” of BUas. Linked to this research topic he is a guest lecturer for different universities of applied science and guest speaker conferences.

      Further more he is an enthusiastic ‘serious gamer’ in the logistics field. During the last 15 years he applied and also developed serious games for education and industrial purposes.
