    Research interests

Lisette is a researcher and project coordinator in national and international projects. She focusses on active transport modes related to the behaviour of users and the connection with the environment. With her research and projects she helps spatial planners and policy makers in the decision-making process, design choices and the development of solutions for mobility challenges.

She studied Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology and has a master degree in Design and Decision Support Systems. She participated in several projects focusing on the use of (electrical) bicycle, the development of cycle highways and behavioural change studies to stimulate car users to use a different more sustainable transport mode. Currently she works as a researcher and project coordinator in the Interreg North West Europe project called CHIPS; cycle highways innovation for smarter people transport and spatial planning. She disseminated the knowledge from her research via papers and presentations on conferences and gives lectures on research methods to students of Breda University.

Lisette has a great interest in the interaction between user and environment. Her goal is to help government and industry to create liveable cities for citizens. By making cities attractive to walk and cycle, more social interaction can take place which lead to a better connection between citizens and their neighbourhood/city.
