Research interests
Jos van der Sterren is an economist with experience in tourism destination stakeholder management, fundmanagement, financial inclusion, social investment, and international SME/micro-enterprise development. Working experience in more than 30 countries in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa, including long term assignments in Africa (Kenya) and Latin America (Nicaragua, Argentina). Specializations include senior investment management, fund design and management, financial engineering, bank downscaling and financial institutional governance.
Since 2003, he applies this expertise at Academy for Tourism as a senior researcher and lecturer.
