Research interests

Jeroen Nawijn (1977) received his master degree in Leisure Studies from Tilburg University in 2001 and his PH. D. from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2012. Since 2001 he works as a Senior lecturer in Tourism at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences. As of 2004 he also works as a Senior researcher for the Centre for Sustainable Tourism and Transport.

 

He specializes in tourist experiences, with a focus on the psychological aspects of consumption behavior. More specifically, he is interested in studying antecedents and consequences of the intensity of felt emotions in various tourism/leisure contexts, stages of destination development and phases of the tourist experience
