Research interests

Erdinç has a background in political science and marketing. He teaches courses on destination management, contemporary marketing, context related research techniques, international fieldwork at both graduate and undergraduate programs at Breda University of Applied Sciences. He has published in various areas such as destination marketing in conflict-ridden areas, impact of mega events, dark tourism, and power relations in tourism. Next to publishing he acts as a reviewer, editorial board member, guest editor in peer-reviewed tourism journals, and as a convener in tourism conferences. He is also one of the vice presidents of international tourism group RC50 at the International Sociology Association for the current term (2014-2018).
