Jacco Bikker is Senior Lecturer of the CMGT program formerly known as IGAD, which he founded in 2006 together with Frank Peters, after a career as a rendering specialist in the Dutch game industry.
He defended his doctoral thesis on Ray Tracing in Real-time Games in 2012, at the Delft Technical University, supervised by Professor Erik Jansen. Since then, he worked with the international industry and students on projects related to rendering, real-time photo-realism, ray tracing of complex scenes and software optimization challenges.
Current research interests include real-time ray tracing on CPU and GPU, path tracing for real-time global illumination, denoising and aritifical intelligence for solving partial rendering challenges.
Graphics, rendering, photo-realism, games, software optimization, GPGPU, ray tracing, path tracing, realism. And: knowledge transfer related to these topics.
