    Personal profile

    Research interests

Main focus: Educational Leadership and Policy - Equity and Social Diversity

My research examines historical and post-colonial narratives of educational inequality, with particular reference to the impact of personal and professional experiences on learning and teaching in Higher Education.

Autoethnographic by nature, I draw on Black female educators' experiences to critique 'inclusive policies', educator development, equity and the influence of epistemological beliefs on persistent achievement gaps.

I am particularly interested in further developing ideas about Black Cultural Capital, Ways of Knowing, Autoethnographic Encounters and the Diversification of Leadership.

    Subjects

Workplace Experience, Autoethnography, Occupational Identity, Diversification of Leadership, Equity and Social Diversity, Inclusive Educational practices and policies
