      Research interests

      Adriaan van Liempt lectures Sociology and Methodology at Breda University of Applied Sciences. A sociologist by background, historically his research areas include labour, care and law. Today his areas research areas include leisure behaviour, consumer experience and heritage tourism. His academic interests are defined by institutional economics, social history, social stratification and mobility, bio-social interactions and social comparison.

      When time is available, Van Liempt is writing a toolkit on research and analytical skills designed for students that need to do research/analysis in an applied context.

      Van Liempt has owned a software development company for 20 odd years and the current rise of and developments in accessible Machine Learning tools are opening up new venues for analysis of data.
