This session explores alternative pedagogical practices focused on sustainable technological futures, engaging with ideas around AI and Empire, digital degrowth, and equitable educational technologies. The discussion moves beyond AI ethics to critically address the socially and environmentally exploitative nature of generative AI tools and infrastructures. Callum proposes a panel format, alternating between on-stage conversations and wider group discussions, supported by short research references and discussion prompts.
