The third 2025 DIGIREAL lunch meeting explores how AI and Digital Twin technologies are reshaping biodiversity research and conservation. Gerard Schouten presents the projects FlowerPower (AI for wildflower monitoring) and WildlifeNL (software for human-wildlife interaction). Sharif Islam discusses challenges in integrating data and models for biodiversity digital twins within the BioDT project. Laurens Hogeweg covers the Multi-source-model (image identification API), project DIOPSIS (automated insect biodiversity monitoring), and project ARISE (infrastructure for recognizing all Dutch multicellular species).
